Photographical exhibition "Looking with hope" in Katowice

From March 8th to March 20th 2010 the main building of the Silesian Library in Katowice will serve as the setting for photographical exhibit which is a part of the series of exhibits entitled “Looking with hope” documenting the life of people with cerebral palsy.

The exhibit was opened by Marek Plura, M.P. and Ewa Jagiełło, madam president of the Association for Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy, originator of the project. The exhibition coincided with the annual “Lady D” gala during which the most professionally and socially active disabled women are honored.

Combining the gala for extraordinary women with disabilities with photographical exhibit organized by and concerning people with cerebral palsy is both, an attempt to show the life of people with disabilities, as well as to educate the public and increase social awareness regarding disability.
